Custom Kitchens
I built this custom french provincial style kitchen for this 1822 wood frame house in the heart of
Greenwich Village, New York City. I worked with the customer to give the cabinets an
antique feel, more like furniture than cabinetry.
Butternut French Provincial Style Kitchen
The small number of cabinets were perfectly suited for modest cooking
needs in an area surrounded by fabulous restaurants. A cozy chair, country
table and English armorie opposite the kitchen on a heated brick floor
completed this warm and comfortable space.
This kitchen was originally a modern cherry kitchen with european hardware.
I worked with the homeowners to create a more period looking room, to
suit their fine Lambertville, NJ Victorian.
We decided on a painted finish, beaded molding around the openings,
traditional brass butt hinges, and Corian countertops
I made additional hutches in the same styling as
we created with the cabinets. We added full extension
drawer slides for all the drawers, and pull-out bins behind the doors.
Recently the homeowner told me that she still loves her kitchen after 11 years.
This lovely old Bucks County Pennsylvania home had a wrap-around sunroom
behind the stone back of the house. We designed a room in a room. A little
kitchen for the man of the house who loved to cook.. A simple space for a focused chef.
The family wanted the giant Sub-Zero refrigerator hidden so
I accommodated them with this large Maple armoire with
side pantry and caned top (for compressor).
Comes apart with 4 screws for easy access.
This is kitchen was built for a 4-Square Home in Sea Cliff, Long Island.
The homeowner had very specific requirements for the look of this kitchen.
He wanted the cabinets to look as if they were original to the house and made with furniture detailing.
We used period hardware and an artist friend did a reverse painting of the harbor view
in Sea Cliff on the glass doors above the spice rack.
He designed built-in knife racks for the backsplashes. A clever guy.
